BRIEF HISTORY OF OUR CONTACT CENTRES

The inbound contact centre at Spark first opened in 1988, six years after our business was founded as a specialist in direct mail fulfilment.

Over the next few years, we developed a fast-growing contact centre offering - primarily to handle brochure request calls. With more and more customers wanting to deal with companies over the phone, the world of home shopping was emerging. Spark was sharing a shift in our clients' business trends and we moved with the times, developing as the industry evolved further with the growth of online home shopping.

Today, we handle calls on behalf of some of the UK's best-known eCommerce brands.

Our outbound division opened in 2000 and our dedicated team has been dialling for a wide range of clients selling products and services across multiple vertical sectors for over ten years.


LOCATION - "THE PLACE TO BE FOR UK CALL CENTRES"

A survey conducted in 2010 revealed that the North East has the most popular regional accent when it comes to dealing with UK call centres. The region has relied on its warm and friendly dialect to allow its contact centre industry to thrive.

We currently employ around 200 people across our contact centres, fulfilment centres and offices. This figure doubles during our seasonal peaks.
