Spark Response intro

Founded as a specialist in brochure and catalogue fulfilment, we have developed our service offering, growing in strength and experience and moving with the times in a rapidly evolving market.

As the world of mail order and catalogue shopping advanced and the eCommerce industry emerged as the fastest growing market in recent history, complementing an already blooming industry, Spark's business model has evolved to include service expertise across multiple channels, supporting varied product markets.

Our fulfilment product range has grown both in terms of volume and physical size. Today, we can despatch anything from a single item of clothing to a full size garden leisure pool; from small parcels for home shopping customers, to large trade and retail replenishment orders.

In 1989, we added a significant string to our bow with the introduction of our contact centre services. Initially set up to handle requests for brochures and catalogues, our contact centres now answer inbound order calls and customer service enquiries on behalf of our varied and diverse client portfolio. We also have a highly successful outbound contact centre division, primarily offering sales and acquisition services.

Spark continues to grow from strength to strength, evolving to ensure that we meet the needs and developing business models of our clients.

2011 OFFICIAL CHARITIES ANNOUNCED

Spark Response - Contact Centre and Fulfilment Services

This year, our staff will raise funds for both Barnardos in the North East and Cancer Connections through staff sales, raffles and a family fun day, among other initiatives.  Spark staff raised £5,500 last year for nominated charity SSAFA and we're hopeful to beat this record in 2001, having already raised over £1,800 through a staff sale earlier this month and a Valentine’s Day raffle.

JOBS FOR THE GIRLS (NEWS FEATURE)

There has been much debate in the press recently about whether men and women are suited to particular jobs because of stereotypical, gender-specific strengths and weaknesses. At Spark, with jobs including picking and packing goods in a warehouse and driving forklift trucks, it might be surprising to discover that around 50 per cent of the staff here are female.
